About Us

Sebastian Mora known as MOPA is a contemporary artist born in Medellin, Colombia in 1991. At the early age of 2 Sebastian experienced the death of his mom and the abandonment of his father, which shattered his heart and took away his only safe-place.

While living with his grandmother Sebastian found solace in his creativity and soon realized that the love he missed all his life could be created from within.

MOPA then made a promise to his mother, that no matter the situation, no matter the challenge he was going to do the near impossible and help heal this world —little by little —with the creation of his art.

When MOPA came to the United States in 2006 moving into Miami, Florida he found a place full of opportunities — but with new opportunities comes new challenges which could have overwhelmed him. However the promise he made to his mom, kept him from losing his way.

From simple drawings to paint and brushes, MOPA started challenging his skills and imagination. He saw many people walking among us, looking perfect like glass and mirrors on the outside and broken on the inside.

An idea came to him to use broken glass, mirror and crystals mixed with resin, arranging them in figures & portraits sending the message — that we may look perfect outwardly, but when we are broken and shattered we can still shine and be ‘perfectly broken’. With that sentiment he has created beautiful and soulful art with a piece of himself in each one.

MOPA’s dream is to help others find their voice so they can realize that there is still hope even though they have broken parts. With the phrase “BELIEVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART” he is showing the world that your inner child is waiting on you to believe again.
